NRL Football Tipping Competition 2008
Terms and Conditions of Entry
DETAILS OF ENTRY
1. Entry into the Birrong Bowling & Sports Club NRL Football tipping competition (the competition) is available to members and visitors of Birrong Bowling & Sports Club. Entrants are entitled to one entry in the competition only.
2. Registration into the competition commences on 18th February 2008, and closes at 7pm 28th March 2008.
3. Entry into the competition is $10 for the tipping competition and $5 for the knock out competition.
RULES OF COMPETITION - TIPPING COMPETITION
4. The basis of the main Tipping Competition will be Entrants making selections in each of the eight games for each of the 26 rounds of the home and away season.
5. To participate in the Competition, Entrants must visit Birrong Bowling & Sports Club each week to register their selections. Entrants' weekly selections will only be accepted if registered by the Entrant from 10:00 a.m. on the Wednesday immediately preceding each round of the season until 7:00 p.m. on the Friday during the same round of the season ("Weekly Selection Period").
6. The Tipping Competition commences on 14th March 2008 and concludes on 8th September 2008.
7. A draw result in any game in any round of the season will be deemed to be a LOSING selection.
8. Tips can be lodged until 7.00pmon the Friday of any round. If any game has commenced before the Entrant's selections are registered, or if an Entrant fails to register their weekly selections for any game of any round during the relevant Weekly Selection Period, or if an Entrant's selections are not registered for any reason, the Entrant will automatically receive one point less than the lowest score selected for that round. If the lowest score is zero the entrant will receive zero.
9. Any Entrant tipping eight (8) winners in a round will receive $20 Birrong Bucks. If there is more than one winner a draw will take place and the winner announced.
RULES OF COMPETITION - KNOCK OUT COMPETITION
10. The basis of the Knockout Competition will be each entrant making a Knockout selection of one of the 16 NRL teams. In the event that the Knockout selection loses, the entrant is out of the Knockout Competition. If the Knockout selection wins, the entrant is eligible to continue playing the next round. This process continues through the rounds until only one person remains in the Knockout Competition, and they are deemed the winner.
11. The knockout competition will commence round 3.
12. Entry to the Knockout Competition closes at 7:00 p.m. on the Friday of the round of the season determined by the Promoter for commencement of the Knockout Competition.
13. A drawn result, in any game, will be deemed to be a LOSING selection in the Knockout Competition.
14. Entrants that fail to submit a Knockout selection will be given the first named team of Game 1 (as per the official NRL fixture) of that Round.
PRIZE MONEY
15. All monies collected will be returned in the form of cash prizes as follows;
Tipping Competition
50% of the pool of entry fees + $100 Birrong Bucks
30% of the pool of entry fees + $50 Birrong Bucks
20% of the pool of entry fees + $30 Birrong Bucks
Knockout Competition
100% of the pool of entry fees
At the end of the season a draw will be conducted with all entrants, the winner of this draw will receive $20 Birrong Bucks.
